Cookie statement

In order to function correctly, the sapori.it website uses cookies.
Cookies are text strings sent by a Web server (e.g. the site) to the user’s Internet browser that is then automatically stored by the latter on the user’s computer and re-sent automatically to the server when needed or at the next time the site is accessed. By default, nearly all web browsers are set to automatically accept cookies.

Cookies are generally divided into 2 categories:

  1. Technical cookies: these are cookies needed for the site to function correctly and store the personalized settings selected by the user during navigation.
  2. Profile cookies: these are cookies that record the user’s navigation history in order to determine a “profile type” for providing targeted services. In particular, these cookies are used for creating customized ads.

Technical cookies used on the sapori.it website
Session cookies: these are stored on the user’s computer for technical-functional needs only, for transmitting session identification data needed for allowing the secure and efficient navigation of the site; they are deleted at the end of the session (hence their name) when the browser is closed. This type of cookie eliminates recourse to other information techniques that could potentially compromise the confidentiality of the user’s browsing. For example, this type of cookie is used for storing the username and password of users who have registered on the site.
Persistent cookies: these cookies are stored on the computers hard drive until they expire or are deleted by users/visitors. Persistent cookies are used to automatically recognize visitors to the site (or any other users that use the same computer) at every visit. Persistent cookies fulfill many functions in the interest of users (for example, the use of the browsing language or the registration of the shopping cart in online purchases). The sapori.it website does not use these cookies for promotional purposes.
These 2 types of cookies (session and persistent) can in turn be of 2 types:

  1. first party when they are managed directly by the website owner and/or supervisor
  2. third party when the cookies are set and managed by a website other than the one the user is on.

Third-party profile cookies used on the sapori.it website
sapori.it allows the installation of Analytics and Widget third-party cookies. They fall under the direct and exclusive responsibility of the operator.
Analytics: these are cookies used for collecting and analyzing statistical information on access/visits to the website. In some cases, associated with other information such as the credentials inserted for accessing reserved areas (the user’s email address and password), they may be used for profiling the user.
The sapori.it website allows the installation of Google Inc. cookies in order to obtain aggregate statistical data, useful for assessing website use and visitor activity. The information collected by the cookies may be stored on servers located in the United States or other countries. Google reserves the right to transfer the information collected with its cookies to third parties where required by law or where the third-party processes information on its behalf. Google assures that it does not associate the user’s IP address to any other data in its possession in order to obtain a more detailed user profile. Further information on privacy and data use may be obtained directly on the sites of the respective operators.
Widget: this category includes all graphic components of a program’s user interface which has the purpose of facilitating the user’s interaction with the program itself. sapori.it uses Facebook cookies. Further information on privacy and data use may be obtained directly on the sites of the respective operators.
Cookie consent
The user, by clicking on the “accept” button, closing the banner, scrolling down the page or continuing to browse any other way, accepts the use of cookies. The choice is then stored by the site; therefore, the user who has given his/her consent to the use of cookies will no longer see the information banner on subsequent visits.
Disabling cookies
The use of cookies may be disabled by the user through the settings on his/her browser (this is not possible on some mobile devices).
In fact, current browsers allow the total or selective disabling of cookies, and some browsers (for example Firefox or Chrome) also allow the user to commence individual browsing sessions in “anonymous” mode by disabling cookies.
