The origin of Ricciarelli

Ricciarelli are named after Ricciardetto della Gherardesca who, upon returning from the Crusades, brought back to Tuscany almond paste sweets that enjoyed undisputed success.

INGREDIENTI: sugar – almonds 33% – roasted hazelnuts 14% (flour, grains) – icing sugar 6.5% (sugar, maize starch) – soluble chicory fibre – pasteurised free-range egg white – flavourings – preservative: sorbic acid – raising agent: ammonium hydrogen carbonate – salt. May contain wheat, milk, soya and pistachios. Despite careful checks, the product may contain shell fragments or residues.
