The Origin of Ricciarelli

Ricciarelli are named after Ricciardetto della Gherardesca who, upon returning from the Crusades, brought back to Tuscany some almond paste sweets which enjoyed undisputed success.

INGREDIENTI: sugar – almond 39% – icing sugar 7% (sugar, corn starch) – soluble chicory fibre – pasteurised fresh egg white from free-range hens – flavourings – preservative: sorbic acid – raising agent: ammonium bicarbonate – salt. May contain wheat, milk, soya, hazelnut and pistachio. Despite careful checks, the product may contain shell fragments or residues.
