How did Panforte Margherita originate?
Panforte originated from an ancient Sienese dessert called ‘panmelato’. The original recipe was enriched when the ‘speziali’, ancient pharmacists, added new ingredients.

INGREDIENTI: candied orange peel, melon and cedar peel 41% (orange peel, glucose-fructose syrup, melon, sugar, cedar peel, acidifier: citric acid) – wheat flour – sugar – almonds 13% – glucose-fructose syrup – icing sugar 2.5% (sugar, corn starch) – starch wafer (potato starch, sunflower oil, emulsifier: lecithins) – spice mix 0.3%. May contain soya, mustard, hazelnuts, walnuts and pistachios. Despite careful checks, the product may contain fragments or residues of shell. Store in a cool, dry place.
