3.2px) * 4.885), 100px);text-transform:uppercase\" class=\"has-link-color wp-elements-2 wp-block-post-title has-text-color has-accent-1-color has-text-align-center\">1850<\/h1>\n\n<div class=\"entry-content text-center wp-block-post-content is-layout-flow wp-block-post-content-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"is-style-text-subtitle is-style-text-subtitle--2 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-transform:uppercase\">The ancient origins of Ricciarelli<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Virgilio continued his work by also dedicating himself to Ricciarelli, the almond paste-based confectionery with a curled shape and a crunchy surface, whose origins are still debated today.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their origins are lost between history and legend. It is said that they derive from Marzipan, which was already used in Siena in the 15th century to make <em>marzapanetti<\/em>. The strategic project aimed to unite and promote the leading brands of Panforte and other Sienese confectionery.<br\/>Sapori immediately became the key player, establishing multiple offices across Europe and facilitating the entry of major international partners, such as J. Lyons and Allied Breweries Limited, between 1972 and 1980. This facilitated the worldwide expansion of Tuscan products and the image of Siena.
