The first recipes for Cavallucci date back to the 16th century. Due to their ability to remain soft, they were the preferred meal of the men responsible for changing horses at post stations, and it is from this characteristic that their name originates.

INGREDIENTI: wheat flour – sugar – candied orange and cedar peels 15% (orange peel, glucose-fructose syrup, cedar peel, sugar, acid: citric acid) – walnuts 7.5% – glucose-fructose syrup – honey 2.5% – toasted hazelnut granules 2.5% – spices 2.5% (anise seeds, powdered coriander seeds) – raising agents: ammonium bicarbonate, sodium bicarbonate, disodium diphosphate – wheat fibre – salt – flavourings.
May contain rye, barley, oats, soya, milk, eggs, almonds, cashew nuts, pecan nuts, Brazil nuts, macadamia nuts, pistachios and mustard. Despite careful checks, the product may contain shell fragments or residues.
